Growing with Saskatchewan’s landscape industry
Landscape Saskatchewan saw its beginnings as a “nurserymen’s” association over 50 years ago. Our scope has expanded to represent businesses in every sector of the landscape horticulture industry in Saskatchewan: landscape construction and maintenance contractors, designers, tree nurseries, arborists, sod producers, garden centres and greenhouses – all benefit from the work of our board and fellow industry members.
Our Vision – that the landscape horticulture industry in Saskatchewan be an example of professionalism and integrity, a leader in environmental improvement, and recognized as a provider of quality goods and services to our communities.
Our mission – to be an effective organization in providing our members with opportunities to improve their practices, and by addressing their issues and needs to the benefit of the entire industry. This mission is shared with our sister associations in provinces across Canada, as well as our national body, the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association. We have always worked closely with Landscape Alberta as our two provinces share so many regional elements and industry issues here on the prairies.
Landscape Horticulture Certification Program
Are you Landscape Industry Certified? Have you worked in the industry for years, honing your skills, providing your industry knowledge and expertise? This program provides the opportunity to have that professionalism recognized.
The Landscape Industry Certified program is an international (Canada and U.S.) accreditation program that sets standards for job skills and best practices for individuals working in the landscape horticulture industry. The program was developed by industry professionals and has undergone rigorous occupational analysis to ensure the Landscape Horticulture Certification Program designations meet current standards and best practices in industry, and comply with requirements for the program to be recognized by the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (formerly National Organization for Competency Assurance NOCA).
